I play with guys who can play pretty well, and occassionally I don’t suck, so it kind of floors me when I say lets play Red House in A or B or whatever. And I get this look like “dude I only know it in C or D”.
Let me open the fret board world up for you….. Bassists listen up too ’cause you guys are the worst.
TNow, hold up your hand and point to your thumb and say E then go to your index finger and say F, then so on and so on until you get to your pinky. Then think the basis of ALL Blues and Rock is the 1, 4, 5.
So in E: E, A, B is the 1, 4, 5
